The roof tents' new hard shell models are developed to cope with really tough adventures and can be folded up super quickly.

This is a roof tent for those who prioritize quick folding (in less than a minute your camp is ready) and a slimmer silhouette on the car roof.

Just like when we designed and developed our soft shell tents, nothing has been left to chance – the aim is set on the absolute highest quality and best functionality.

Like our other roof tent models, the names of the new hard shell tents are taken from different peaks on Åreskutan, the mountain where we live and work.

Common features for the new hardshell tents

Both Blåsten and Tothummeln have dark gray tent cloth, black window cloth and a durable and strong aluminum shell in black; fitted with 20 mm rubber strip between bottom and top for 100% waterproof.

Folded on the roof, the hard shell tents are only 18 cm high.

Two different widths to choose from

The Blåsten and Tothummeln are available in two sizes - 120 centimeter or 136 centimeter wide mattress - and are therefore suitable for those who like adventure and travel alone or together with your partner/friend/four-legged friend.

The roof tents are easily folded up in just a few seconds with the help of hydraulic gas dampers. You climb into the tent on a black telescopic ladder and can leave your shoes in the supplied shoe bags.

Anti-condensation mattress and LED loop included

Inside the tents there are large storage pockets for your stuff as well as an LED light loop included that you can easily use with, for example, a power bank.

The sleeping mattress is 5 centimeters thick and of the highest quality, which means that you will sleep really well and not feel the bottom plate.

On the bottom, we have also included an anti-condensation mattress (1 cm thick). The inner ceilings are covered with cotton fabric that dampens sound and prevents condensation.

Roof racks and awnings will be available to buy as accessories.

The roof tent Blåsten

The roof tent Blåsten (pronounced Blå-sten) gets its name from the top with Åreskutan's steepest slope below it and is a so-called clamshell/wedge model that is raised at one end.

We have also chosen to raise the foot end slightly, so that even you who are taller will have room to sleep well.

To keep you dry when you go up and down from the roof tent, we have developed an extra large window cloth that is put up with the included window pegs. If you instead want an even better view, the window cloth can be easily rolled up and attached above the roof tent's openings.

At Blåsten, you can choose to go up into the roof tent either from the sides or the back of the car.

With Blåsten's hard aluminum shell positioned against the wind, you have a roof tent that stands firmly and protects you against all conceivable weather.

The roof tent Tothummeln

Our roof tent Totthummeln gets its name from the flat top, also a popular excursion destination, which towers in the foreground as you approach Åre.

The Tottuhummeln is a roof tent of the classic pop-up model. It folds up by lifting both short ends and takes the form of a box in a few seconds. Entrance is possible on both long sides of the roof tent.

For the view lover, we have equipped the Tothummeln with extra long windows on both long sides. Window covers protect against both rain and sun or can be rolled up and fixed above the openings to maximize the view. Extra ventilation openings are included on both long sides.

The inside is spacious, the height inside the entire roof tent is 85 centimeters, which gives you room at the foot end for packing or maybe your dog!
