With the hard shell tent Blåsten from Taktältarna, you are ready for all kinds of adventures. This premium tent folds up in seconds by simply pushing up on one end. When folded, the roof tent is only 18 centimeters high, which gives less air resistance and a stylish silhouette.

In the roof tent is a comfortable sleeping mattress made of high-density foam. Under the regular mattress you will find an anti-condensation mattress to prevent moisture. The openings can be closed either with the tent canvas or with mosquito nets.

The blower is available in two different sizes; Small and Large. The difference is the width of the mattress, which is 120 and 135 centimeters respectively. Perfect for 1-2 adults. Even a smaller child can be squeezed in!

The roof tent is accessed using the included black telescopic ladder, which you can choose to place either on one of the long sides or at the back. The ladder comes with a bag so you can store it either in the car or inside the tent while travelling.

The tent canvas is dark gray and made of a strong fabric in a cotton blend, woven in ripstop technology, which makes it resistant to tears.

Unlike many other roof tents of a similar model, the Blåsten roof tent has a specially manufactured height hinge at the foot end, which means that the top lid of the roof tent folds up and provides extra legroom for you who are tall.

The Blåsten roof tent is a hard-shell tent and has a shell made of impact-resistant, colour-resistant black aluminium. The bottom plate is made of aluminum panels in a honeycomb structure, which makes it very strong.

The gas springs that fold up the roof tent are made of stainless steel and treated with an oil coating to prevent dust and sand from entering.

A rubber strip between the top and bottom plate ensures that no water gets in.

Inside the roof tent there are good storage options. Six pockets in the roof, one of which is plastic for, for example, a tablet and several pockets on the side walls of the roof tent.

The Blåsten is also equipped with included shoe bags and an LED light loop that lights up inside the roof tent.

And then there was this thing with the name. Blåsten is pronounced "Blue stone". Like all our roof tents, it is named after one of the peaks on the mountain where we work and live - Åreskutan.

Requirements for roof racks for installation of Blåsten

To install Blåsten, your roof rails and car roof must have an approved maximum load of at least 75 kilos.

For the Blåsten S, the roof rails must have at least 72 centimeters of "clean rail", i.e. without protruding plastic parts from the feet.

For Blåsten L, the roof rails must have at least 84 centimeters of "clean rail", i.e. without protruding plastic parts from the feet.

We recommend that you use the roof rails where the beam is on top of the feet and that you place the roof rails at least 80 centimeters apart.

What our customers think about us:

Fantastic hard shell tent! Since we purchased the Blåsten a month ago, we have now spent 14 days in it. I have previously had four different roof tents and this is the best so far: 5/5 for mattress/comfort, 5/5 for quality feel, 5/5 for finesse and luxury.
