Already today, the Åreskutan is one of the very best soft-shell roof tents on the market. But we don't stop there, but continue to constantly develop and improve - both by testing ourselves and by listening to feedback from our customers. We are therefore super happy to now be able to present Åreskutan 2.0 .
Two new colors
We start with the surface. Because in addition to purely functional improvements, we are adding two new color choices for Åreskutan. In addition to the original color - light forest green - you will also be able to choose from the following colours:
- Twilight Blue: A calm blue color that pulls the gray together.
- Autumn glow: A warm rust red/orange color.
Here you can see roughly what the new colors will look like - put together in Photoshop to give you a hint!
The improvements to the roof tent Åreskutan 2.0
1. Harder and more durable floor
Åreskutan 2.0 has a bottom plate made of so-called honeycomb floor (honey comb floor). It is the strongest type of floor used for roof tents and provides both increased stability and withstands shocks better than the previous floor.
2. Air gap mattress to prevent condensation included
Between the mattress and the bottom plate of the roof tent, we have included an air gap mattress that counteracts condensation in between.
3. Goodbye velcro – hello buckle straps!
The straps with velcro are replaced with a more durable and durable alternative. Åreskutan 2.0 is equipped with tension straps with metal buckles. This applies both to the straps on the side of the roof tent that are used to push the bottom plates together, as well as to the straps that go over the transport cover.
4. Strap to secure the ladder to the base plate
Here is a novelty at Åreskutan that you who want an awning for your roof tent will love. We have added a strap to be able to fasten the ladder to the base plate when the roof tent is unfolded. Thanks to this, the useful space in the awning becomes much larger and more flexible (but do not forget that it is important that the ladder is always needed to support the bottom of the roof tent when someone is up in the roof tent!).
5. Woven fastening bands for windows and openings
The material on the straps used to attach window guards, mosquito nets, etc. is replaced with woven polyester straps.
