Background – passion for innovation
The Swedish-made rear box IXTAbox is the result of a genuine need and a passion for innovation. Carl Rietz, the founder of IXTAbox, created the first prototype when his family realized that their Tesla Model X could not have a roof box.
With three children, a dog and all the equipment required for the family's adventures, another solution was needed. Thus, the idea of IXTAbox was born.
After four years of development and countless kilometers on the roads, IXTAbox has evolved into the robust and well-thought-out product it is today. The entire design and manufacturing take place in Sweden, where every component is carefully selected and assembled.
With suppliers from both Sweden and Germany as well as 3D-printed parts made in Carl's own basement, each IXTAbox is a result of Swedish craftsmanship and precision.
Taktältarna and Ixtabox start collaboration
We at Taktältarna met IXTAbox during the Overland Adventure Expo this spring and immediately felt that this is a product our customers and followers would greatly benefit from. We also really like that IXTAbox shares our focus on quality and user-friendliness.
